-
Best for schools, libraries, and larger groups
Go behind the scenes of The Suitcase Summers and discover how a real family experience became the beginning of a book series.
Laura shares the inspiration behind the story, how a book goes from idea to finished copy, and what it means to keep creating even when something feels difficult.
Includes time for student questions and conversation.
Suggested audience: Grades 2–6
-

Kids become the storytellers.
Using simple prompts and guided activities, participants create their own character, setting, problem, and adventure while learning how stories are built.

A relaxed, family-friendly event featuring a reading from The Suitcase Summers, conversation about books and creativity, audience Q&A, and personalized book signing.
