Our Story

DoodlePie Magic Press began with a simple idea: childhood deserves room for wonder.

We believe stories can make kids curious about the world beyond the page. Activities can help them discover what they’re capable of. And some of the best adventures are the ones that bring families closer together.

So we create books and experiences that encourage children to explore, imagine, make, question, help, laugh, and grow.

Some adventures begin with a mysterious suitcase. Others begin with a blank page, a family mission, or one very good question.

They all begin with curiosity.

DoodlePie Magic Press was founded by children’s author Laura Doyal, a Southern California mom of two who believes childhood should still have room for books, curiosity, family adventures, and a little bit of magic.

Laura writes The Suitcase Summers and creates the ideas behind DoodlePie’s growing collection of books and family experiences.
